Bulls Dynasty

Since drafted by Chicago in 1884, Michael Jordan changed the game of basketball to a new level. With Jordan in the team, Chicago seemed to be unstoppable during the 1990's winning 6 NBA titles, 2 three-peat's, holds the record for most NBA's win in a season (72-10) in 1995-96 season. After serving the Bulls for 12 years, Michael Jordan finally retire as a Bull, and the following 5 years were it's most embarrassing seasons. But whenever you're down there could also be a time to turn around and do things better, (2009 NBA Draft) Chicago drafted Derrick Rose.
  • 1991 Bulls vs Lakers (4-1) Bulls win
  • 1992 Bulls vs Trail Blazers (4-2) Bulls win
  • 1993 Bulls vs Suns (4-2) Bulls win
  • 1996 Bulls vs Super Sonics (4-2) Bulls win
  • 1997 Bulls vs Jazz (4-2) Bulls win
  • 1998 Bulls vs Jazz (4-2) Bulls win

Lakers Dynasty

Los Angeles Lakers 2nd to Boston of most titles won. The franchise started with the 1947 purchase of a disbanded team, the Detroit Gems. Lakers dynasty was led by group of superstars Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain (1960s and 1970s) Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy (1980s and 1990's) Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol (1990s and 2000s). Though they are a successful franchise in NBA, but they were not a successful team to the Boston Celtics. With only winning 3 times during the finals where they met 12 times, and the other 9 to the Celtics. The Lakers have a total of 16 Hall of Famers and holds the record for NBA's longest winning streak (33) during the 1971-72 season.

Celtics Dynasty

Boston Celtics, one of the most dominant teams in the league. The Celtics dynasty started during the late 50's and through the mid 80's where they dominate the each game they played. After being so dominant for 3 decades, the Celtics big three (Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish) retired in the mid 90's and they've been criticize by fans if they could still be a championship caliber team. Boston took the issue personally and led to a blockbuster trade in which GM Danny Ainge acquired a perennial all-star Ray Allen and 2 time mvp Kevin Garnett. With the new "big three" the Celtics grabbed their 17 NBA title and completed the greatest single-season turnaround in NBA history.

NBA's Dominant Dynasties

  • Boston Celtics - won 17 titles, lost 4 times during the finals, 21 finals appearance.
  • LA Lakers - won 16 titles, lost 15 times during the finals, 31 finals appearance.
  • Chicago Bulls - won 6 titles, never lost the finals, 6 finals appearance.
  • San Antonio Spurs - won 4 titles, never lost the finals, 4 finals appearance.
  • Golden State Warriors - won 3 titles, lost 3 times during the finals, 6 finals appearance.
  • Detroit Pistons - won 3 titles, lost 4 times during the finals, 7 finals appearance.
  • Philadelphia 76ers - won 3 titles, lost 6 times during the finals, 9 finals appearance.
A dynasty is built when a team dominates the league for multiple seasons. It isn't easy to build a dynasty with wrong pieces of players on a team. These dynasties above had players who can change a team to a championship caliber team. Teams like Boston, Lakers and Chicago were the most dominant of all dynasties in NBA, and these teams had a lot of players who can shoot, pass, block and defend like they're one of the best in the league.
